3 Things Thursday: Brought to You by the letter ‘B’

3 Things Thursday is a weekly link-up all about the little things we love. To learn more & participate, check out this post.

This week I’m obsessed with all things that start with the letter ‘b’. I guess you could say that I have a bee in my bonnet. (I’m funny eh?)

1. Beach Kurtis

If you’ve been paying attention, you might recall that way back when we started 3 Things Thursday (can you believe it’s been 11 weeks), I talked about wanting to add some fusion looks to my wardrobe. Well last week in Mexico I discovered my favourite way to wear a kurti – as a beach cover-up.

Seriously, my only packing regret is that I didn’t buy more kurtis. They are super light weight, dry quickly, and look exotic on the beach. I’m sold!

2. Bard on the Beach

I’m pretty embarrassed to say that I went to Bard on the Beach for the first time yesterday. I live near Vancouver and love Shakespeare, it’s an absolute tragedy that I had never been.

My friend Dale and I watched A Midsummer Night’s Dream which is my favourite work by Shakespeare, and I couldn’t believe I still remembered the lines. If you haven’t read the play you’ve definitely heard this line “though she be but little she is fierce”. Often used as a #motivationmonday quote it makes me chuckle that most people have no idea it is actually used during a ‘girl fight’ in the actual play, and is in reference to one maiden protecting herself from the wrath of another.

If you live in or near the Lower Mainland I highly recommend that you visit Bard on the Beach and take in a show this summer.

3. Counting my Blessings

So I spent much of last week in Puerto Vallarta taking in sights and adventures I couldn’t even imagine. I swam with dolphins, went snorkeling, ate the world’s best tacos and so much more. While I still have to empty my SIM card and write some posts, I’m taking a moment to count my blessings.

Blogging has already been an amazing journey, and I’ve met some of my dearest friends through this medium, but this was really the most phenomenal experience. I expect to write something a little deeper soon about the whole ‘momcation’ experience.

Now it’s your turn to link up and tell me all about 3 Things that are on your mind this week. Just a few rules (well requests really). Please link back to one or all of the hostesses; Raj from Pink Chai Living, Nisha from Love Laugh Mirch, or Salma from The Write Balance, and share a link to your post not your blog’s home page. Feel free to use 3 Things badge in your post.
