3 Things Thursday: On a Friday

I have the summer flu. There is nothing worse than loosing your voice and having a runny nose on the most beautiful days of the year. Okay maybe there are worse things, but from where I stand right now, this pretty much sucks.

You might have noticed it’s Friday. Yup, I’m that behind this week – a whole 24 hours. If anyone knows where I can claim my missing day I would really appreciate the information….

{PS: Curious about 3 Things Thursday? Want to play along? Details here}

One: Pantry Cleanse Update

So we are supposed to be doing this pantry cleanse thing and things are going so-so. We haven’t done a big grocery shop so far this month, and are under $50 spent on groceries. However, we’ve eaten out more than I care to admit (pantry cleanse fail). It’s been a hectic few weeks and I didn’t meal plan. Also, most of the things in my pantry require standing in front of a stove, and I don’t feel like overheating right now.

Rather than beating myself up over it I’m just going to try again next week. I’ve done a meal plan for the next few days so that should help.

Two: Fentiman’s Rose Lemonade

I am in LOVE with this drink. I now need a new line in the family budget called ‘mom’s rose soda obsession’. How can anything taste so good?! (It is also taste amazing with a little Bombay Sapphire Gin). Mr. T thinks it should be my signature drink and I should call it Gulabi Nimbu Pani. I can’t remember the last time I was so in love with a soda.

Three: Comedy Nights With Kapil

In spirit of sheer randomness; I cannot get enough of this show lately. I’ve only recently discovered it and have about 100 episodes to go still, and have been watching at least one a day for the last week or so. I kind of have a school girl crush on this guy; so cute and funny. Seriously if you understand Hindi or Punjabi you gotta watch! Then tweet Kapil Sharm and tell him I love him (if you want to you know).

Okay, now it’s your turn – pick three things that are making you smile this week, whip up a blog post and share a link below. Feel free to use the 3 Things button in your post, and please link back to one or all of the hostesses; Raj from Pink Chai Living, Salma from The Write Balance, or Nisha from Love Laugh Mirch
