I know what you are thinking…how did I get ahead a day, it’s not Friday today? Or maybe not?
Why yes, I’m a whole entire day behind again this week. There’s no good explanation or excuse. I have been pretty sick this week & my thyroid is acting up, but also…I’m just like a hamster on a wheel, until I stop everything else I’m doing for a day and play catch-up this is going to be my life. Do you ever feel like a hamster on a wheel? Maybe I should have dressed up as a hamster (or a wheel – because that would have been easier) for Halloween. Oh by the way Happy Halloween!
PS: I’m heavily medicated right now so the above paragraph might be totally hilarious or total gibberish, the jury in my head is still out on that one. Now for my 3 Things…
Nutri Ninja Blender
I recently received a Nutri Ninja Blender to test out, and I’m pretty impressed with it’s ability to pulverize lentils. Pretty much all my experiments with it so far have involved mung daal (can you say idli, dosa, and wadiyan, oh my!) Although I did use it so make the paste for my recent bhuna masala recipe too.
It is fairly noisy which is the only negative I’ve got for it right now, but I can’t wait to try out a few more recipes in the coming weeks and then I’ll give you a full run down. Next on my must make list is uttapam pizza. Uttapam is my favourite South Indian dish of all time, and who doesn’t love pizza, can’t wait!
Vancouver Desi Column
I recently started writing for a local website called Vancouver Desi where I plan to contribute twice a month. First post was titled ‘Preserving the Food Culture of India with Home Cooking‘. I think some of you will find it an interesting read and hope you will share it!
I just can’t stop guys! No one should own as many fuchsia, pink, or wine coloured lipsticks as I do. It’s gotten to be such an obsession that my kids even bought me pink lippy for my birthday earlier this month. Is there a support group for obsessive lipstick hoarders? Anyone want to start one?
