3 Things Thursday: Keeping Secrets

Pretty much the hardest part about being a blogger for me is keeping secrets. Every once in a while I get a really amazing opportunity and I’m bursting at the seams to tell you all, but I can’t. Not because I don’t want to, but because rules, timelines, campaign dates etc – and well that just sucks!

Basically what I’m trying to tell you (but not tell you) is; I have a secret, and it’s killing me! So, to distract ourselves from said secret, let’s talk about 3 random things that are on my mind this week.

In case you are new here; 3 Things Thursday is a weekly post where I share 3 things that are on my mind, and link up with Salma from The Write Balance and Nisha from Love Laugh Mirch. If you are a blogger and you want to join up, simply write your own list of 3 Things, grab a badge from below, and share a link to your post. It’s a great way to meet other bloggers!

tanisha

? Babysitting

I have 3 nieces and 2 nephews, but I’ve never really been able to focus on hanging out with just one as a Masi (Aunt). When my oldest sister had her kids I was in my teens and we lived a little far away from her, so I never really just ‘hung out with them.’ Then my other sister had her daughter 6 months after Armaan was born and I spent a lot of time with her, but it was divided between paying attention to A and her. Lately though we’ve gotten to spend some one on one time with my niece Tanisha who is one and it’s been lovely!

She spends one night a week at my Mom’s place to help my sister & BIL out with their work schedule, and we sometimes “borrow” her for a couple of hours. It’s so much fun to play with a baby that you can return! Just look at that face, what’s not to love? Although, Zara has started asking for a baby…

black shadow

black eye shadow 2? Black

I have never liked black – it just seems like a sad colour to me. However, lately I’ve found myself attracted to both black dresses and eye shadow. These pics are a little old (pre-haircut) but they were taken on a day when I was playing with my new purple and black shadow palette from NYX. What do you think – overkill?

amb da achar

? Amb da Achar

I absolutely love Amb da Achar (Mango Pickle). Although I’m also a fan of carrot and garlic pickle, mango has my heart. Last week I took a shot at making my own at home for the first time. It’s still sitting on the counter marinating, doing it’s thing, and I’m (im)patiently waiting to taste the fruit of my labour. If it works out I’ll be sure to share the recipe with you all! I’m already dreaming up all the varieties of pickle I will make this summer…

Those are my 3 Things this week and now it’s your turn to link up! I’d love to read about the three things on your mind this week. It’s really easy to join in the fun; just grab the 3 Things Thursday badge, write a blog post, then link back to either one or all of hostesses; Raj (me) at Pink Chai Living, Salma at The Write Balance, or Nisha at Love Laugh Mirch and link up below. It’s super easy and it’s a fun way to meet new people, get new readers to your blog and just share what’s happening in your world this week!

I’ve never made Amb da Achar before, but I’ve tried my hand at carrot pickle with some success. How did it turn out?
