3 Things Thursday: Late Lateef

Late Lateef = the main character in a popular Indian fable who is forever running late, or; a certain blogger who often posts 3 Things Thursday posts on Friday.

I was chatting with Salma last night about how I feel perpetually behind and keep waiting for this magic moment when I’ll suddenly have some time to catch up. Do you ever feel that way? Who can all of us mom’s talk to about getting an extra day added to the week? Why don’t we have a union rep?

Thank you once again for your patience with me as I try to maintain the precarious balance of motherhood, entrepreneurship, and blogging with some amount of grace. Even though I’m not the most reliable blogger, you still come back, and that gives me the warm & fuzzies!

{PS: Curious what this 3 Things business is all about? Details on how to link up are at the bottom of the post!}

macaron class vancouver

? One: Macaron Making Class
I finally did it – I learned how to make macaron. One more check mark on my 35 before 35 list. Yay me! Now I’m obsessed with getting this flamingo pink kitchen mixer and working on exotic macaron flavours like mango and saffron.

accent wall

? Two: Accent Wall
So, this swatch test happened at 10:30 the other night. I finally asked my Aunt {who is also my landlord} if I could paint after living in this suite for almost four years, and she was totally cool about it. My first two projects are a statement wall in the living room/dining room, and painting the kid’s room.

? Three: Comforter Search
Can you believe I’ve been looking for the perfect new comforter or duvet cover for almost three months now! A few weeks ago I posted this picture on Facebook, but neither of them worked out, and now I’m back to square one. I’m looking for something with a navy and fuchsia vibe, or gold accents, and it has to have a sort of Indian feel to it. Easy enough right?  If you happen to see something, let me know!

3 things thursday

Now it’s your turn!  I’d love to read about the three things on your mind this week. It’s really easy to join in the fun; just grab the 3 Things Thursday badge, write a blog post, then link back to either one or all of hostesses; Raj (me) at Pink Chai LivingSalma at The Write Balance, or Nisha at Love Laugh Mirch and link up below. It’s super easy and it’s a fun way to meet new people, get new readers to your blog and just share what’s happening in your week.

Heheh don’t worry about it! Better late than never 😀
Macaroon making is a serious skill; you can’t underbeat or overbeat. I stil don’t like them lol. Do not get the fuss over them.
I love the colours! Statement walls are such a great way of adding personality and freshness to a room. Really loving the first swatch (although I like all 3)
    Have a great week :)

You are too cute Kayennat! My hubby was anti-macaron for a long time, he didn’t understand the fuss either, but he’s come around lately!

The colours in your photos are just gorgeous! And that macaron – I wish I could pluck it from my screen (P.S. Nice nails, lady!) As far as the swatches on the wall, I vote for the one in the middle :)

Thanks Taslim! My husband vetoed the colour in the middle because it’s very pink in real life so we’ve settled on the far left for now. PS: Thanks for noticing my nails chica!
