3 Things Thursday: Week 76

pacifica roll on perfume

You know those times in life when you just push yourself too hard and finally your body goes on strike? That’s me this week. I can’t shake my flu, my body aches, and I am dead tired. Unfortunately, this is also one of the busiest work weeks of my year. {There’s that darn Murphy’s Law in action again.}

I’m trying to hold it together until tomorrow afternoon when I can finally take a breath (and a day off), but until then I just gotta ‘keep on keeping on’.

This week’s 3 Things are a little bit of everything…pacifica perfume

One: Roll on Natural Perfume
I discovered this roll on perfume by Pacifica while I was shooting social media pics for GTC the other day, at Alive Health Centre. First of all, I love roll on perfume because it’s portable, and this one is also all natural, vegan, and under $15 – you can’t go wrong! I also loved that the scents are super light and won’t offend the people around you. Who doesn’t want to smell like a Hawaiian beach, a Middle Eastern rose garden, or a Parisian bakery, crazy people that’s who. Oh, and mad bonus points for the morni (peacock) on this bottle, and the overall adorable packaging.

Two: Why Not Me?
If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already know that I picked up Mindy Kaling’s new book about a minute and a half after it released on Tuesday. I’ve only read the first two chapters but I’m already sure I love it all! I’ve put it aside until the weekend so I can devote a full two hours to reading the whole thing – it’s a pretty light read, and I can hardly wait!

Three: Planner Problems
I’m a list making, paper to pen kind of girl. Every week I make to-do lists, I still writing my appointments in a paper calendar, and any serious writing project is always done in a notebook, and then typed up later. Lately my Instagram feed has been flooded with beautiful (and expensive) planners. When I was at Chapter’s picking up Mindy’s book they were everywhere and I was so tempted but….$40+ on a planner? Really, is this a thing people actually do? If you invest in a yearly planner please share your thoughts on how valuable a pretty planner is, so that I may share these same arguments with my husband.

    That IS a really cute bottle! I have this love/hate relationship with perfume. I like to smell good (obviously) but don’t want to end up with a headache at the end of the day (or give someone else one). Sounds like you found a good compromise with that one.
    And now you’ve put me in the mood for a nice, light read! Have a great weekend and feel better soon!

    Can’t wait to read Mindy’s new book!

    And I’ve seen those expensive planners around the web but can’t push myself to pay that much! I’ll stick to my $10 planner from Target, thanks!
