3 Things Thursday: Week 79

This week turned out far better than last week, but it’s been a busy one. I just got back from a very productive meeting with Salma to go over some new SABN projects, and now I’m cuddled up in a blanket bringing you my 3 Things for the week…

BTW: If you are a blogger we’d love to have you join our 3 Things link up! Details on how to join are at the end of the post.vikram vij pink chai

One: Cooking Class with Vikram Vij
Earlier this week I took part in a cooking class with Vikram Vij where he shared his tips and tricks for creating the perfect rice pilaf. I’ll be sharing what I learned in a blog post next week, but I thought a celebrity chef is worthy of a sneak peek!make ahead meals michael smithmake ahead meals michael smith

Two: Make Ahead Meals by Chef Michael Smith
I was sent this book a few weeks ago by the publisher to review, but I really only took a good look at this weekend. I haven’t tested a recipe yet, but I do love how it’s laid out, and there are lots of good ideas for meals that make leftovers-on-purpose, and lots of roll-over meals. I have some pumpkin seeds left over from a cooking experiment I did last week, so we are planning to try the pumpkin pesto recipe this weekend.pink chai livingThree: Sewing
I used to love sewing. In fact, my old business involved sewing custom clothes and baby blankets, but over the last few years I’ve let the hobby go. Last week I pulled out the sewing machine for a DIY I’m working on and it got me really excited! (I even ordered this vintage pattern online). Yesterday I even went through all my bins of fabric and pulled out some of my favourites to start planning new projects. 3-Things-Thursday-
