3 Things Thursday: Week 83

Things that happened since last Thursday; I did a live TV appearance, taught a cooking class, styled an Indian bridal photo shoot, Halloween, and daylight savings time among other things. You know who’s running on pure adrenaline – this girl! I feel like my current life motto should be excited & exhausted.

I couldn’t be happier about all the amazing projects I’ve been able to work on in the last few weeks, but I couldn’t be more tired. I guess I’m still chasing that elusive work/life balance thing. Any tips?

So here we go with my 3 things for the week. If you want to join in with the link up and play along, details are at the bottom of the page!pink chai living

? One: Call Me Chef Thandhi
On Monday I made an appearance on the morning news show and shared a palak paneer recipe on live TV (no pressure). I was sooooo nervous the day before and sure I would mess up, but all went well. As a bonus, the host also introduced me as a chef!

? Two: Cooking Class at Diwali Fest
I also taught my first ever cooking class this week – eek! (Seriously, who decided I was qualified for all this chef like business?) Another nerve wracking but exciting experience. While I was demonstrating for 2 hours I was in a whole other zone – but at the end of the class I felt a strange sense of satisfaction. All three dishes I made worked out and people seemed to feel like they learned something. I might write more about the whole experience in a post next week.

? Three: Jewellery Storage
Unrelated to cooking, I’m really struggling with storing all my jewellery lately. I like to keep as much of it at eye level as possible so I see and wear different pieces, but it’s starting to get messy. I have bangles and earrings all over my dresser! If I find time to take a breather next week then I’ll go hunting for some other storage options. If you have any ideas please share!

Nice one, Chef! I know that zone you’re talking about…and I completely see why you were in it. Teaching + cooking = a great calling for you! I know how passionate you are about food – not just the ingredients and how they come together, but the culture of it all and the values we pass down with it. I’m so proud of you and hope to see you wearing your ‘chef hat’ more often! Love you!
