3 Things Thursday | Week One

Life is full of little things that we love. It could be that new flavour of tea that you tried the other day, the amazing lip gloss that you found, a song that you can’t stop singing or a new recipe you tried that everyone loved.

Quite often I want  to share all these amazing things with my readers, but I’m not sure how. An entire blog post isn’t warranted, but I don’t want you to miss out either! That’s where 3 Things Thursdays comes in. Each week me, Nisha from Love Laugh Mirch, and Salma from The Write Balance will be sharing 3 fun finds with our readers and giving you a chance to share too! More details on how to join in are at the end of the post.

3 Things Thursday | Week One

When Nisha, Salma and I first talked about doing this weekly round-up of 3 things we love, I was so excited! My mind was full of things to write about, but as I’m sitting here now, I’m drawing a total blank. I’m worried that the ‘3 things’ I choose won’t be special enough (classic over thinker). Good or bad, here are three things that wowed me recently and I can’t stop thinking about…

soirette macaron fleur de lis

1. Fleur de Lis Macaron from Soirette Macaron
Rose, cardamom, and cinnamon packaged perfectly in the perfect Parisian pastry by my favourite macaron shop Soirette – this macaron is a little piece of heaven. If you find yourself in Vancouver sometime soon, you have to stop by and visit my friend Shobna’s dainty little macaron shop, or you can order them online.

chennai express

2. Chennai Express
I think this film released last summer, but I only watched it last month. I’ve never been a huge fan of Shah Rukh Khan (I’m probably the only Indian that isn’t crazy about him), and I’m iffy about Deepika Padukone, but this film is so beautiful to watch! While some of the beautiful backdrops were actually sets, there are some amazing scenes shot in Kerala. It is stunning to see India shown in such a beautiful way.

LA Colors

3. LA Colors Makeup
So I’m not sure if I should be embarrassed, or super proud of myself for finding this budget make-up line at my local Dollar Tree, but I’m thrilled with their liquid liner and eye shadow. (In the US they are available at many drug stores and even Walmart). I’ve tested whatever I could get my hands on and have to say; the foundation isn’t for me, but the eye products are amazing!

Want to share 3 Things too? You don’t have to shout them out from a rooftop of a building, just participate in our link up starting next week. Get your 3 Things picked out and your post ready, because next week we’ll be adding a link up button as well.
