3 Things Thursday | Good Times

Hello Thursday! Since last Thursday many things have happened in my world and I’d say 99.9% of them were good. It has been a week of flurry and activity, and many nights my head has hit the pillow and I was out cold within 3 seconds because I’m so tired, but I’m also so very thankful.

Seriously, I’m itching with excitement to share some of my new projects and upcoming adventures with you, but for now, I have to keep the lid on it. Let’s just say summer 2014 is going to be big!!

Are you ready for my 3 random but totally awesome things? {If you are a blogger and would like to link up, all the details on how to play are here}

Mary Kay CC Cream Review

{Not the best pic – but I wanted to show you how well the colour matches my skin. Not bad coverage for a CC Cream either!}

1. Mary Kay CC Cream

A few weeks ago my friend Dale asked me if I wanted to try out some CC Cream from Mary Kay. I was a little hesitant because BB Creams didn’t really work like a magic potion for me, even though people were raving about them – boy was I wrong. This new CC Cream is amazing!

The best thing about the CC Cream is that it actually matches my brown skin tone. I’m using the medium to deep and it’s a perfect match. It’s sort of replaced my everyday foundation, which I’ve worn for at least 10 years, and it makes my skin look amazing. There’s enough coverage to help with dark spots and acne scars and it’s lightweight enough for hot days. I’m smitten.

If you want to try some out, definitely connect with Dale. If you’ve had a Mary Kay ‘experience’ before, she’ll change your mind about MK ladies. {PS: She did not pay me to say all this, but she’s awesome and I really think you should connect with her if you have makeup or skincare q’s!}

2. 365 Days of Chai

Last year I set the goal of completing a Project 365 (take one photo everyday for 365 days) before I turn 35 next October, so far I’ve been unsuccessful. I’ve started twice and both times it fell apart around the one month mark. I was started to think I should just take it off my list and then I saw this blog about many cups of hot chai.

This is perfect, a daily photo of a cup of chai, can you imagine the possibilities! I’m so in love with this idea I can’t even begin to tell you. Archana’s photos are so beautiful I’ve gone back so many times this week just to admire.

If you were going to do a Project 365 what would you take pictures of?

3. Chanel Cruise Collection 2014-2015

This collection got mixed reviews by fashion critics but I’m in love. {Maybe the theme of today’s post should have been things I lurve?} To me this was high fashion Indo fusion done right. Although he didn’t say that this collection was inspired by Indian silhouettes and textiles, that is all I could see in Karl Lagerfield’s presentation.

I particularly like the pieces that have the ‘pyjami’ inspired bottoms and the kurta with the signature Chanel jacket. This is the type of look you could wear to a cocktail party or an Indian event. I’m also really digging the ‘I Dream of Genie Pants’. Someone gifted me an Indian suit with that type of a pant and I wasn’t sure about it, but now I’m assuming it’s really trendy!

Now it’s your turn, I want to know 3 Things that you’ve been thinking about this week! Write a post and link up below. Just a few rules (well requests really). Please link back to one or all of the hostesses; Raj from Pink Chai Living {me}, Nisha from Love Laugh Mirch, or Salma from The Write Balance, and share a link to your post not your blog’s home page. Feel free to use 3 Things badge in your post.

    CC Cream you say? Hmmm, I use BB cream sometimes but nothing else. I have a very tough time with my yellowy beige skin :/ The cups of tea are stunning. I never thought I would use that word to describe tea!

    The idea of a 365 day photo challenge sounds interesting. If i were to do it, it would either be pictures of food or kids which is what I take the most pictures of :)

    The daily cups of chai pictures are stunning! A really great idea (I too have tried the picture a day thing and failed miserably lol). I love that CC Cream on you. You look gorgeous.
