So two things happened this weekend; it snowed, and I got the DIY bug big time. My house looks like the ‘bizarro’ version of the Martha Stewart craft department. If you aren’t familiar with the Seinfeld reference; the bizarro version of anything is the total opposite. For example when Martha Stewart crafts, everything is white and pristine, and all craft items go back where they belong. When I craft, there’s a good chance people will step in hot glue, and there will be glittler in someone’s spaghetti . That’s just the way it is.
Also, I love this outfit. I know it makes no sense, has a lot of prints going on, and is not what most people would wear on a snow day, and that’s the point; I’m not most people. After my slightly depressing ramblings last week I’ve come to a simple conclusion; every time I try to fit myself into a box, or define success by society’s standards, I get depressed. However, when I embrace my quirks and celebrate my personal successes, all is well in the world again. Just add that one to the ‘life lessons I wish I learned when I was in my 20’s’ list.
A super sweet reader emailed me to say that she missed the remix photos so I’m bringing them back. Here’s the same dress worn earlier in the remix challenge in a more springy look. I have to say, the one the right is one of my favourite outfits so far from the challenge.
Oh and Z thought I should share the picture above as a public service announcement, in case you didn’t already know!
