Three Things Thursday: Is it Still Summer?

Can you believe that summer is already half-way over? Every year I think this is the summer we are going to take it slow and just soak up all the sun-filled moments and then I blink and it’s almost over.

We are about 2 weeks away from our big trip of the year … and it’s a road trip! We’ll be spending 7 days in a car with our two kids and my mom; should be interesting. Right now I’m in getting ready mode. The house needs a good scrub down and a whole lot of client work needs to get done before we leave. Fingers crossed I can get ‘er done.

I’d love to hear what’s new and exciting in your world too, so feel free to join in with our 3 Things Thursday link up. It’s super simple – pick three things that you are interested in or loving this week, put together a quick post and link up!

? One: Video Moments
I had never really thought about myself as an ‘on camera’ person before I started this blog, but now it seems like my life is moving towards being on video all the time! If you follow me on FB or Instagram you might have heard that I’m working on a series of videos with Tea India later this summer. (So ridiculous exciting!) I’ve also being an ‘actress’ in a recent video by my client Guildford Town Centre, and shot a segment for 4 Angels Beauty Care.

This is all very bizarre to me and I’m not really sure what to make of it – me ‘on camera’. I guess it’s just about embracing new opportunities!

? Two: Tiffany Blue Nail Polish
I woke up yesterday with the crazy urge to find Tiffany Blue nail polish. So I made a b-line to the cosmetic department while grocery shopping at Superstore yesterday and picked up a couple of colours to try out. Even though I didn’t find the perfect colour, I’ m in love with this Wet ‘n Wild polish. It goes on so smooth and looks amazing. At $2.97 a bottle it might be a new guilty pleasure! In fact, I think we are low on eggs so I might have to go back to Superstore later today …..

? Three: The One Hundred Foot Journey
The wait for this movie is killing me! I seriously can’t remember the last time I waited this impatiently for an English language movie to release. Can you blame me though? It’s about Indian and French food and stars Om Puri and Helen Mirren.

I decided not to read the book first because I was so disappointed by Julie & Julia the movie. Once I’ve read the book I get an image in my mind of the characters and backdrop, and somehow the movie can never do it justice!

Now it’s your turn! Link up a 3 Things post below, grab the button if you like, and give a shout out to one or all of the hostesses; Raj from Pink Chai Living, Salma from The Write Balance, and Nisha from Love Laugh Mirch. Be sure to check out some of the other awesome bloggers that link up too!

Love the blue nail polish, I’ll have go check it out. And I had a chance to see a preview of that movie at a blogging conference and missed it, agh! And I’m totally with you on the book thing. Everytime I read a book first and then see the movie adaptation, I’m always disappointed.

What a great list this week! Your upcoming trip sounds like fun. We did all our traveling in the spring and now I’m feeling a bit stir-crazy.
