Outfit Inspiration: Sari Style


I don’t get to wear Indian clothes very often, and when I do it’s usually not a sari.  As much as I love sari’s, they get a bit difficult to manage with the kids hanging off of me. On Saturday though, me and Mr. T went to a 60th birthday party and got to leave the kids at home; a perfect excuse to break out one of my favorite saris.


These sort of soft, muted pinks and purples are my go to colours in Indian clothing. I’ve always felt that these tones look best on me; plus they make me feel cheerful! This look is a bit retro with the up-do and flower in my hair. Sort of inspired by some of my favourite Bollywood actresses from the 1970’s. 

Just for fun on this Monday morning, here’s a little peak at me and the Mr almost 11 years ago on our wedding, and then this weekend:

    aweee i love you in a saree Raj! You should wear it more often. My mom is getting me saree for our reception in June and I know its gonna be pretty but I am so not used to wearing it – I hope I dont trip in our couple entrance 😛 haha

    And missy you havent aged one bit…you guys are so adorable together 🙂
