A Mobile Spa, Pedicures, and Pakoras – The Ultimate Girl’s Night!

First off, a confession; the girl’s night you are about to read about happened in June. I have no real explanation for why I’ve been so slow at posting things in July, but can I have a ‘get out of jail free’ card please?

I’m a huge fan of getting together with girlfriends – it’s one of my favourite things in the whole world. Nothing makes my week like a good dose of giggles over lattes and macaron, or appies and wine with my girls. It’s instant stress relief and therapy all in one.

I  tend to have groups of girlfriends that just go together – we are group girls (does that make sense?). One of those groups is Eschelle from Mumfection, Rebecca from Cooking by Laptop, and Kerry from Crunchy Carpets. We’ve worked on some common projects together and have all connected over our love of blogging and social media this last year. So when our ‘baby’ Eschelle cooked up this idea to have Feel Fabulous Mobile Spa come to her place and treat us to pedicures, we were all in! (Sadly Kerry got sick that night and had to miss the party).

I’ve had plenty of pedicures, but never in the comfort of home – it was so much fun, and you really have to try it. When I got there with gobi pakoras (my contribution to the potluck), Catherine and Nav from Feel Fabulous had already set up the pedicure stations and we had to do was pick a colour. Obviously my dilemma was – which pink to pick?red wine ice cream{Above: Red Wine Ice Cream & Pink Polish choices! Below: Awkward skirt lifting for toe shot!}pedicures - girls night

Unlike getting a pedicure at a spa there was no worry of being loud (and we were loud!). Much sangria was consumed, and later we indulged in Red Wine Ice Cream made fresh by our resident foodie Rebecca, and we talked about all sorts of not PG stuff we wouldn’t discuss at a spa. Such a unique and fun experience.

I enjoyed our evening with Feel Fabulous so much that I’m actually thinking of booking one of their birthday party packages for Z’s birthday. They have locations in Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton and their rates are super affordable, totally worth checking out!

PS: Feel free to steal the whole pakoras & pedicures idea for your next girl’s night! I actually think it would be an awesome theme for a ghod bharai {baby shower} – fun for the young ones and the aunites!

I just wanted to add that the pedicure was one of the best ones I’ve ever had! It lasted for ages. Those gals do it up right.
